Vacations week 2 ☼

Hello! My second week of my vacations was pretty lovely. I saw a lot of nice sights. Beautiful mountains and I just had a great time with my parents. The sun showed his little nose sometimes so we took those opportunities to go outside. We also ate really really great food at a restaurant called "Auberge du Haut Jardin". This was also the last week in the Vosges. The 3rd week was in the most beautiful city called Paris!

The waterfall, it was just one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. The sound of the waterfall just gives you peace and serenity. We walked half an hour to get there. But it was worth it. You also had to climb some kind of rocks to take a good picture and because I really love photography I just climbed it because I didn't want to miss this beautiful opportunity. Photos are the most beautiful things to look back at your most important and wonderful moments. With one picture you can tell a whole story. That's what I like the most about photography the memories you get when you see them back. But back to the subject. This waterfall is one of the greatest waterfalls of the county. A piece of real beauty.
We also went to a castle! Castles are so wonderful. The people who lived in castles are most of the time the most powerful persons of that century or epoch. The château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg (GermanHohkönigsburg) is a medieval castle located at OrschwillerAlsace,France, in the Vosges mountains just west of Sélestat. It is situated in a strategic location on a rocky spur overlooking the Upper Rhine Plain; as a result it was used by successive powers from the Middle Ages until the Thirty Years' War when it was abandoned. From 1900 to 1908 it was rebuilt at the behest of the German emperor Wilhelm II. Today it is a major tourist site, attracting more than 500,000 visitors a year.

And well yes, this is me in the castle. I don't know why I don't seem like in amused but I probably saw something unpleasant. I really don't know!
This is how the houses look like in the Vosges. You will probably notice, yes you have the same houses in Germany. The only reason behind it: Alsace was in the possession of Germany. But France won it back so now the county is French and not German anymore. But that's why their dialects sounds German and that's also why a lot of cities and villages has a German name.
We had a nice walk in the forests. We had like forest just next to our house. So if we want to go for a walk we just had to put on our sexy shoes and go.
I don't have a lot to tell about the forest because the only thing was walking and distress. Because forests a great when you are stressed. The fresh air and the beautiful sounds of the birds is just perfect if you are stressed.

This how our house looked like. Actually the house where we stayed for 2 weeks. It was a nice stay!

FOOOOOOODD! As you probably know I just love food, I love cooking, I love discovering new stuff and to cook new things. So as starter I ate a salad, with bacon, tomatoes, eggs, dressing and green salad. Not the healthiest salad, but it was delicious!

As main I had a porterhouse steak, I was a simply grilled steak. With steamed vegetables and baked potatoes. It was delicious as well.
And apparently I don't have a picture of my dessert. But that was just simple ice cream. So it was nothing special.

Don't forget to smile and to enjoy your day!

Vacations week 1

Hello! Sorry for not posting, but I was busy with some personal stuff. But I am baaack!! And guess what I'm on vacation in Fraaaance!! It's quiet bummer that the sun isn't there often because it's raining almost every 0.1 second. But I made some pictures and selfies! I'm in the Vosges, in a small village called Le Tholy. It's probably my last vacation with my parents. Because I'm going to stay home next year. So I can work for my school and job. Because that's important, or maybe I will go on vacation with some friends. The first day was just sitting in the car. So it was quiet boring BUT we had music so everything was better in one second. The second day, was going to a festival a Medieval Festival it was pretty awesome, I kinda like those kind of fests. The other days where just hanging around and walking a bit in the forest.

In the car on my way to France.

Trying to do some sport, LET'S WALK!

 In the forest.

Diploma

I finally got it! I have my diploma in the pocket. July the 2nd was probably one of the best days of life. They gave us a speech in the church because our school is to small for all people to fit in so we did it in the church. The teachers sang for us, it was awful but sweet. After the speech, we had to sign or diplomas.

Graduated!!

11 June was my day. At 2:30 pm I heard if I was graduated or not. Lucky enough I graduated. So I passed my last high school year! Next year I'm going to college! I'm so excited, I'm going to study for a restaurant business or something in that area. I had a lovely year, with a nice class, sweet classmates and cool teachers. With the lovely 1st grade children (we have different grades in the Netherlands). The only thing I need right now is my diploma. But that's on July the 2nd. I was so happy when I heard that I was graduated, I also graduated with an A+!! In the Netherlands it's a tradition to hang out your flag when you graduated and with your school bag at the end of it. That's pretty cool.
The Dutch flag with my bag hanging on it.
Of course I needed to celebrate my graduation.

My grades, they are different from the ones in America or United Kingdom or other countries.

Sailing

I sailed on the lake today, together with my Italian friend Luca. He is pretty cool. No, he is cool because he is Italian, all Italians are cool! I'm also sun burned. I realized SPF 30 isn't enough for my skin type. But never mind. I had a really good time. We sailed with a beautiful weather, with beautiful Italian and Spanish songs. I like that shit. We laughed about everything. Also about things when we were little. Because we know each other since kindergarten. Apparently we trowed things at each other. Everything is normal! We also like to argument about our nationalities. He is Italian and I am French. So we debate a lot about which country is better. Obviously it's France! We really missed each other, because we didn't saw each other for like 5 to 6 years. That's too much! He has a pretty cool boat though. I also sailed a bit, because most of the time he was behind the steering wheel. I tried to sail a bit and I did it! It was pretty awesome. You can't imagine how awesome it was, like it was the most awesome thing I did since a long while.
